Welcome to MANTECARE, our exciting new chef-led cookery course exploring classic Italian dishes!

‘Mantecare’ is a classic Italian cooking technique that works a dish into a deliciously creamy texture. Similarly, through our classes, our goal is to blend passionate home cooks, culinary knowledge and soulful Italian food together into the perfect meld!

During each session, under the guidance of our maestra, Chef Anna Borrasi of iO Osteria Bangkok, you will learn how to make a 3-course menu consisting of a selection of: Antipasto, Primo, Secondo and Dolce (appetizer, pasta, main course and dessert ), representing a full menu that you can replicate again at home to impress your family and friends!

Following a welcome coffee and Migliaccio, a traditional semolina cake, our pilot class menu begins with a Tuscan antipasto, a traditional pasta from the south of Italy, and a beef pastry from the north. And, especially for our launch class, we will also cover a classic seafood spaghetti!

SECONDO: Filetto di Agnello o di Manzo in crosta con pesto rosso di pepperone / Baked Lamb or Beef Fillet in puffy pastry with red pesto

ABOUT CHEF ANNA BORRASI

Our Maestra, Chef Anna Borrasi, is one of only three chefs nominated by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to represent Italian food in Thailand. Her restaurant, iO Osteria Bangkok, is recognised by the prestigious Ospita Italiana; prior to opening her restaurants in Thailand and Singapore, she was Chef-Patron of the legendary Il Corallo in Rome, Italy, for 12 years.
